Feeling blah!

Both Caelie and I are sick. Caelie's been sick now since last Thursday. I took her to the doctors yesterday only to find out she doesn't have Bronchitis but the onset of it so hopefully we caught it in time. The doc gave her an antibiotic to take (because the cough isn't in her lungs yet but had a wet sound to it) and also some cough syrup. I also bought the Vicks Vaporizer and last night I think between all the meds, the vaporizer and her inhaler - she slept most of the night without coughing. Yay!

I'm now feeling like crap though. Over the weekend my throat started to feel scratchy and the cough started. Then Sunday night I was up all night coughing (along with Caelie). So last night I took TheraFlu and had a great nights sleep!!! I'm hoping to nip this thing in the bud because the next few weeks are crazy!

Running your own business...

My cousin has her own online store and also runs a real life store (as in one you can actually walk into). She started the online store first, through Ebay. Then bought her own domain to host the store there and then finally decided to have an actual store. I believe it's mostly antiques and stuff like that.

One of the things she just finished was deciding on what promotional business gifts to give away. There had been a festival in town and to get her store more exposure, she thought having a table at the festival and giving out promotional gifts would be a great idea. And from what I hear it was a success! She had about 50 new people come to the store who heard about it from the festival! That's great news!

OBX here we come!

Our annual family reunion with our best friends was booked this morning and I am SO psyched! Last time we did this we booked it the July before and had to wait until the following April! This year we just booed it and now only have to wait 2 1/2 months! We chose a different house but it's just as huge and just as great! Heated pool, hot tub, game room, lots of decks and porches. BUT this one looks like it has very comfortable couches!!! (Something the other house didn't have).

Bring on April!

Going to Branson....

Missouri that is. Sean got a call this morning that he could be going to Branson Missouri for work. Neither one of us have ever been there before. He suggested, since he could be gone for a while, that we somehow turn it into a family vacation. With the kids and I somehow meeting him there at some point.

I did a little investigating into the town and found some great places to stay as far as lodging goes. I went to Bransongetaways.com and found great vacation packages that they offer. Then I did some further investigating and found out alot about the town. And it turns out there is a great deal to do there. They are home to the Titanic Museum - something I know Tristan would love. They also have water rides and a go kart track (something all three kids would love). There's caves and caverns to explore as well as miniature golf courses to master. I think it would be a nice, family fun place to visit. And also nice to just get away!

Moving...

Friends of ours are moving back on down to Tampa and I'm so psyched! They lived here for a bit, then moved back north, only to miss it here so much that they're moving back. The sucky part is the actual moving part though. Luckily, since they did it not too long ago, they don't need to search through all of the different moving companies out there to find one they like. I'm just so psyched they're coming back! One more week and they'll be here! Yay!

Grrrrrr....

I am so annoyed right now with people! I'm tired of people who volunteer their time only to then throw it in everyone else's face. If you want to volunteer - then do so. But then don't go around telling everyone and their mother how much you've volunteered and yadda yadda yadda. It's ANNOYING to say the least and makes the person look like a complete idiot! STFU!!!!!

My weight!

I am happy to say I gained NO weight this holiday season! NONE!!!! And it wasn't like I starved myself either. I ate the wonderful appetizers and the tasty cookies. We got a ton of candy for Christmas from aunts and uncles and I made sure I had my fair share. I also drank some egg nog and wine and beer throughout the holiday season as well. BUT, what I didn't do was gain any of the weight back that I had lost since last fall. I LOVE IT!!!! All of my jeans fit loosely and I'm even starting to wear some shirts that I haven't in a long time. And I'm happy to say I did this NOT by using diet pills, NOT by being on any diet whatsoever - I lost it by watching what I ate (eat) and by not over indulging. I take my time eating and as soon as my tummy gets full - I'm done eating. I always hated that feeling when you've over stuffed yourself. I don't let it get to that point anymore!
